Easter Services last Sunday

Between Easter Vigil and Sunday morning, the five parishes of the Benefice have enjoyed well attended and joyful celebrations of Easter. Families, visitors, hymns, candles, incense, sprinkling, loud noises and laughter were involved. Christ is risen! He’s risen indeed!

Please join our Palm Sunday service in St James’, Nayland. This is a benefice service for our five parishes and refreshments will be served afterwards for everyone to meet and mingle.
Next week is Holy Week with services being held every day as detailed on the attached pew sheet. Due to an omission on yesterday’s pew sheet please find below the Easter services taking place over next weekend.
Saturday 30 March
7pm Easter Eve Vigil at Nayland
Sunday 31 March
9.30am Family Eucharist at Polstead
10am Easter Eucharist at Leavenheath
10.30am Easter Morning Prayer at Wiston
11am Family Eucharist at Stoke
……….and don’t forget the clocks ‘spring forward’ an hour!

Services are being held in all five churches this Sunday, with a variety of times and worship to chose from. Next Sunday, 24th March, is Palm Sunday when the benefice worships together in St James’s Church, Nayland. The procession will start from the Vicarage at 9.45am and lead into the church by 10am. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Please take time to offer special prayers to those children suffering from cancer or other serious ailments. Please pray especially for each child, their parents, siblings and grandparents who are fraught with worry. Also for those who care for them in making important decisions regarding their treatment and those who nurse them so wonderfully.

There are services at each of our five churches this Sunday: 8am Stoke Holy Communion BCP (SJ) 9.30am Polstead Morning Prayer (LB) 9.30am Wiston Morning Prayer (DJ) 10am Nayland Family Service (HS/SJ) 6.30pm Leavenheath Evening Praise(Team) Next Sunday (28th Jan) we welcome Bishop Martin to St Mary’s Stoke for our Family Eucharist at 10am. All are welcome to join this service, meet the Bishop and enjoy refreshments afterwards.
